Poros is a wonderful island, easily accessible from Athens by car and by ferry. The duration of the trip by car is about 2.5 hours. After the Isthmus of Corinth, heading towards Epidaurus, the green route and the view of the Argosaronikos Gulf, will enchant you, to the extent that you will not even realize the 2.5-hour journey to Galata.
Ferries and dolphins depart daily from the port of Piraeus to Poros. The ships of the line carry passengers and vehicles and make a small cruise stopping at the picturesque ports of Aegina and Methana, and arrive at Poros in about 2.5 hours. For the most impatient travelers, the speedboats (dolphins) carrying only passengers make the journey in just 1 hour.
Apart from Athens, Poros connects by ferry to Aegina, Methana, Porto Heli, Hydra and Spetses, destinations that are all well-worth visiting.
